In America, nearly every politician is guilty, at some point, of directing their partisan rampages and furies directly at their political rivals and or opponent(s).
The question has to be, why? Because simply stated, anger and rage have been a successful practice in not only winning an election, but, as well, it strongly bolsters a candidates voter base in reelection bids.
Additionally, politicians who have forcefully voiced their political vexations and resentments have also been demonstrated to be magical tools in getting desired actions and or legislation passed.
But, at what cost is all this to the sanity of America and its democracy? The Capitol riots should easily answer that question!
Here is the bottom line:
Words are the most powerful means that are available to humanity. And while every politician should cherish their rights to free speech, they must also recognize that their words do strongly affect a nation, and their citizenry. In other words, attached to free speech, there must be both responsibilities and accountability.
For, encouraging words in political settings would have the most appreciable abilities in not only helping people succeed, but also, in assisting people who have fallen on hard times, to get back on their feet. And finally, invigorating words from a politician give people the essential energy they need in following through on difficult roads of recovery.
But, on the other side, the use of destructive language from a politician can only further ignite people into widespread fears and hate of others. No good can come from this. There can only be harm and humiliation.
America's democracy has been suffering these types of "political head-on collisions" since 1776. It can't take anymore smash-ups.
America is now teetering in between recovery and disaster.
We shall either become a nation of true morals and ethics, or we shall soon collapse into the hands of authoritarian rulers.
