A love there is, a story to be told,
Of grace and mercy, more than finest gold.
It is the love of Jesus, pure and true,
A steadfast flame that burns for me and you.
Before the world’s first star began to shine,
This love was planned, eternal and divine.
He left a throne in realms of endless light,
To walk the earth and banish every night.
With gentle hands, He touched the leper’s skin,
And welcomed all who felt consumed by sin.
His words a melody, His presence peace,
Offering hope where sorrows never cease.
In the dark garden, under moonlit sky,
He chose the path to suffer and to die.
He bore the weight, the bitter cup He drank,
From all our shame and sin, He never shrank.
Upon the cross, where love and anguish met,
With nails and thorns, a debt for us was set.
“Forgive them, Father,” was His heartfelt plea,
Demonstrating love for you and me.
The tomb was sealed, but death could not prevail,
For love proved stronger, tearing through the veil.
He rose again, the Victor, King of Kings,
The Risen Savior, hope and joy He brings.
The love endures through storm and fire and rain,
It offers comfort, healing ever pain.
No force on earth, no depth, no height, no past,
Can break the bond, His love is built to last.
It is a love that calls us to His side,
In His embrace, we can and will abide.
For in our hearts, that flicker with desire,
We feel His flame and rise up ever higher.
I love You, Jesus, for You loved me first,
And quenched my soul’s unending, deepest thirst.
My life, my all, my loyalty is Thine,
For in Your love, my purpose I define.
Of grace and mercy, more than finest gold.
