A Memorable Night Of Singing In Downtown Las Vegas
In the summer of 2006 the Main Street Station Concert Hall had a standing room only crowd. I sang the opera song entitled "All I Ask Of You", and a broadway song entitled "Ole Man River". For both, I received a roaring ovation from the audience. But, at the end of the night, the host of the show selected another singer who had, at best, a mediocre voice, but a sizable following out in the audience. He was the winner of amateur night. The boo's from the audience disrupted the host's trophy presentation.
The chants rang out, "Brad, Brad, Brad." It would be the greatest compliment to my singing, ever.
But, my most popular song I've ever performed is Louie "Satchmo" Armstrong's, "What A Wonderful World."
